My Denver Trip
October 4th - 7th, 2002

Two of my favorite things in life are Coors Original  and The Denver Broncos. So needless to say Denver is as close to Heaven as I will get 'till the good Lord takes me. Below are some pics of our trip to Denver Colorado. I hope you enjoy.

Town of Golden,Colorado with our rental car in the foreground. Golden is roughly 15 miles northwest of Denver. Riding through town you would never believe it was so close. A brewery town... very small, close-knit, quaint, and beautiful.

Upstream from the brewery, This is a beautiful mountain stream, which flows right beside the brewery, but is not the water source for the brewery. The water source for Coors comes from 44 underground springs which dot the company property. This water is so pure that nothing is removed or added to it.

Downstream towards the brewery

World's largest brewhouse. This is the only pic I took inside the brewery. I was too busy taking it all in to snap pics.  If you ever get to Denver, the Coors brewery is a MUST see. The tour is a guided tour with a brewery employee and very interesting and personable.

Display in the hospitality room.

You've heard of "The Silver Bullet", well, this is 'The Silver Artillery"

Coors Brewing's international portfolio. Note the Carling Black Label can on top shelf.

This monument was put up in front of the brewery after the 9-11 tragedy and the following campaign to hunt down Osama bin Laden.

Entrance to the tour lobby

This is a pic of a truck being loaded with whats left of the brewing ingredients after the brewing process. This is sold off to farmers who use it as cattle feed. Cattle love it because of the sweet taste.
No wonder all the cattle we saw on our trip had such a happy look on their faces!

This is a model of Coors Field that was on display in "ESPNZone" located in LODO(lower downtown denver). This model was made entirely of bottle labels and bottle caps. Unfortunately, because of the glass case, the picture does not do it justice!

Horse & Buggy at the 16th Street Mall in LODO. This is where we spent the evenings on our trip

Denver Pavilions at 16th Street Mall. Hard Rock Cafe is at the left. For some reason the sign was off.

Debbie, recovering from jet lag.

Tailgaters before the game The band was playing Skynyrd!

Transvestite tailgaters

So happy I could fly!

I would rather be shopping !

This is a pic of the stadium, not the asshole walking in front of the camera !

There were all kinds of activities for kids and drunks alike!

Bronco Cheerleaders signing autographs

The sculptures in the background were truly breathtaking

The statue at the top is from the old Mile High Stadium which was torn down in February, 2002.

Not only is John Elway a God in Denver, but he owns damn near every car dealership!

View of the Denver skyline from Invesco Field At Mile High.

Entrance to the Coors suite (Thank you Coors Brewing Co. for the tickets, btw!)

"Stormy" the bronco in the end zone after Denver's first touchdown. Denver won the game 26-9 over the San Diego Chargers. The locals called it a "Mile High Ass-whooping"

Denver Broncos two Vince Lombardi Trophies.... the third coming soon!

Trophy case at the Bronco headquarters in Englewood. This has all of their AFC championship trophies and special game balls, helmets, etc.

This is one of the three practice fields at their headquarters.

A perfect weekend coming to an end. Next stop, Denver International Airport and the flight home.
